The performance enhancement clinic is designed to provide the athlete with the physical, nutritional, and mental resources and technologies that will ultimately contribute to better athletic performance. The staff at SportsMedicine of Atlanta are experts in athletic and medical sciences and utilize the most current sports technologies to evaluate the state of each individual athlete. Subsequently, data is acquired and an individualized program is prescribed for the athlete.
The physical resources provided at this clinic afford each athlete to utilize state-of-the art equipment usually available only to professional or Olympic-caliber athletes. Our highly technical equipment closely assimilates the specific athletic skill that the athlete frequently uses.
For the athlete whose sport emphasizes the upper body musculature is the UBE ergometer - the only upper body training device that provides continuous motion, high speed/high resistance exercise with accommodating resistance at variable work rates and controlled speeds. The Fitron cycle ergometer is an isokinetic cycle ergometer providing the unique advantages of controlled speed and accommodating resistance exercise. Eagle variable resistance weight training equipment assures biomechanically correct exercise postures, while efficiently and effectively strengthening, developing, and toning targeted muscle groups.
Once an athlete has been evaluated and prescribed an individualized performance enhancement program, his/her progress is monitored through reassessment procedures, ensuring the athlete of maximal athletic performance.
