The baseball pitcher's clinic provides a comprehensive program to identify predisposing injury factors, educate pitchers on proper warm-up and stretching activities, and strengthening and conditioning the structures involved with pitching a baseball. The key to the baseball pitcher's clinic is the utilization of computerized exercise equipment. Each pitcher has all joints in their pitching upper extremity carefully evaluated and their associated musculature tested on highly sophisticated equipment. The data from the testing is stored as a baseline, should future injury ever occur, and is utilized as a starting point from which to recognize prescribe programs therapeutic gains. Frequently, audiovisual aids, including anatomical models and video tapes are shown to the pitchers to aid in the educational experience.
